Group Health Wins Health Plan Innovation Award
November 18, 2009 At the National Business Coalition on Health conference this week, Group Health was one of two winners of the 2009 eValue8 Health Plan Innovation Awards. Group Health's health risk assessment (Health Profile) and shared medical records were honored for innovation out of more than 100 applications. "Patients who complete a Health Profile are provided with immediate feedback," said Maureena Moran, executive director, Web Services & Enterprise Information Management, Strategic Services & Quality Division, Group Health Cooperative. "They know more about their health risks and options before they see the doctor and can be better informed, more confident, and more effective in talking with the care team." The National Business Coalition on Health represents the voice of purchasers. It is dedicated to value-based purchasing of health care. eValue8TM is an evaluation tool developed by the coalition that is now supported by the Puget Sound Health Alliance.
