Requesting a MyGroupHealth for Brokers Web account
If you're a broker appointed with Group Health, you can use the MyGroupHealth for Brokers Web site to conduct business with us online. To sign up, contact the person in your broker house designated as the "Delegated Administrator" or contact our Broker Operations staff at 1-800-337-3196 or 206-448-4384 or brokerappt.commission@ghc.org.

If you are not appointed to do business with Group Health, see our Broker Appointment page.

Logging in
To log in to your MyGroupHealth for Brokers account, you'll need your Group Health broker ID number and your account password. If you don't know your broker ID number, contact your Delegated Administrator or our Broker Operations staff at 1-800-337-3196 or 206-448-4384 or brokerappt.commission@ghc.org.

When your account was created, you should have been e-mailed a password. (You can change that password to one of your own choosing.) If you don't have or can't remember your password, use the "Forget your password?" link to request a new one. If you never received your password, contact your Delegated Administrator or our Broker Operations staff.

If you forget your password
Near the log-in box, you'll see a "Forget your password?" link. Enter your Group Health broker ID number and last name, and a new password will be e-mailed to you.

Changing your password
You can change your password at any time. If you think someone else may have learned your password and may be able to gain access to your account, you should change your password. In addition, when your account is first set up and you are sent a password, you may want to change your password to something of your own choosing and something that will be easy for you to remember.

To change your password, click on the "Web Account Management" link in the left column of your home page. (You must already be logged in to your account to change your password.) You will then see a link to the "Change Your Password" page.

Passwords must contain at least 8 characters with at least 2 letters and 2 numbers. Passwords are case sensitive.

Viewing other agents' transactions
Depending on how large your broker house is and how your broker house shares and manages work, you may be able to view information and conduct business transactions for other agents or brokers in your broker house.

When you log in to the "MyGroupHealth for Brokers" Web site, you will see a "Welcome" message with your name near the top of the home page. Directly below that welcome message, you may see a box that says "Working as" and a drop-down menu with the names of other agents or brokers in your broker house.

The drop-down menu lists the people you are authorized to conduct business for. When you select a name from the list, your home page may change to reflect that person's business and the transactions you are authorized to do for them. For example, you may be able to request new quotes on their behalf, view and edit their quotes or view their book of business

You may also choose the "select all" option in the drop-down menu, which will allow you to see the book of business and quotes for all agents in the list.

Who is listed in your drop-down menu depends on the "access roles" you were assigned when your account was set up. The designated "Delegated Administrator" in your office can explain which access roles you have been assigned.

Setting your "default" view
Each time you log in, your home page will default to one person's name (most likely your own). You can change that default name so the next time you log in, your home page will default to another person's name or to "select all." If you primarily do business on behalf of another agent, you may want to change your default setting to that person's name.

Updating your contact or demographic information
You can use your MyGroupHealth for Brokers account to notify Group Health of changes in your contact information, including your name, address, phone number, and e-mail address.

To view and edit your demographic information, click on the "Web Account Management" link in the left column of your home page. You will then see links for "Your Profile" and "Business Profile."

All users can view and update their own profile, and all users can view their broker house's business profile. However, only certain users (delegated administrators and managers) can update a broker house's business profile.
